The Highway Safety Rating (IIHS) for Overall Side is listed as Marginal for the 2009-2010 Dodge Ram. The truck has Side Guard Door Beams in the front and rear doors. This information would led me to think there should not be too much Boron and UHSS for firefighters to deal with. However, the 2002 through 2006 Rams had High strength, hot-stamped steel beams in the doors so Dodge knows how to stamp the new steels so do not rule it out.

This particular model's Marginal rating from the Insurance Institute can be attributed to the lack of side-impact torso airbags.
