Body Structure
The body structure of the next-generation 2021 Nissan Rogue is made from 35 percent ultra-high-strength steel which is up from 19 percent in the previous model. Nissan also used other lightweight materials with the hood, fenders and doors out of aluminum and resin for the tailgate and fuel lid.
Keep in mind that pushing and spreading on a resin tailgate will most likely start to break apart or splinter. Make sure to have respiratory protection when cutting resin/fiberglass/carbon fiber materials.
Airbags
The 2021 Rogue also offers 10 standard supplemental air bags and extended crumple zones to help protect occupants.
