Below is a screenshot from the Emergency Response Guide (ERG) from Audi that shows the locations of ultra-high strength steels (UHSS), airbags, and other hazards. Notice in the images, the HV battery pack is protected by UHSS in the rockers and cross car reinforcements. This is very common in EV vehicles.
